About us
Pioneering Mauritian Mobility
Building on the SM Group's half-century history of finding new solutions,
Modability started in 2017 with the goal of changing how people move around
in Mauritius. We were the first to bring high-quality electric bikes and scooters
to the island, ushering in a more eco-friendly way to travel
This led to the creation of our own brand,
Kestrel Watt, which we're very proud to say is Mauritian-made. Named after the swift
kestrel bird (a symbol of our nation) and using the latest technology, these vehicles
represent SM Group's dedication to making products locally while maintaining
international quality.
Now, we are shaping the next chapter of Mauritian mobility. As the island evolves with
smart cities, Kestrel Watt offers the perfect synergy of eco-friendly design and urban
agility. Every ride is a step towards a more sustainable, connected, and
forward-thinking future for all.
